Transport Options at STL
St. Louis Lambert International Airport is connected to St Louis and the wider United States transport network by multiple ground transport options.
MetroLink light rail (Red Line, with Blue Line via transfer) serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 with direct stations, running into downtown St. Louis in about 20–25 minutes.
Metro Transit bus routes also connect at the terminal, mainly useful for local connections rather than a direct downtown run — MetroLink is the faster option.
Taxi stands outside both terminals; fare downtown runs roughly $30–35 and takes about 20 minutes.
Uber and Lyft both operate with designated pickup areas.
Rental car facility with all major national brands is a short walk/shuttle from the terminals.
MetroLink is genuinely the easiest way downtown — a direct light-rail ride with no transfers needed from either terminal, and far cheaper than a cab.
