UTA TRAX Green Line runs directly from the Airport station (attached to the new terminal) into downtown Salt Lake City (Salt Lake Central, Gallivan Plaza, etc.) in about 20–25 minutes, roughly every 15–20 minutes through the day; a single ride is a few dollars and it's by far the cheapest way downtown.

Bus & Shuttle

UTA local bus routes also serve the airport, but most travelers use TRAX instead since it runs direct to downtown.

Taxi

Taxi stand outside baggage claim; metered fare downtown is roughly $25–35 and takes 15–20 minutes depending on traffic.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft both operate with dedicated airport pickup zones, generally the fastest door-to-door option.

Car Rental

A large consolidated rental car facility sits a short walk/moving-walkway from the terminal with all major national brands — handy given how many travelers use SLC as a gateway to Utah's ski resorts and national parks.

Insider tip

If you're headed downtown, skip the taxi line and take TRAX — it drops you within walking distance of Temple Square and the convention center for a fraction of the cost. Headed to the Cottonwood Canyon ski resorts in winter instead? Budget extra time, since the drive can back up badly on powder days.
