Transport Options at RHO
Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras" is connected to Rhodes and the wider Greece transport network by multiple ground transport options.
KTEL Rodos buses run between the airport and Rhodes Town at regular intervals through the day, with timetables posted at the terminal and available online; this is the standard budget option for reaching the old town or the ferry port.
A taxi rank sits in front of the terminal; the roughly 14 km run into Rhodes Town takes about 20–25 minutes, with fares generally posted or metered.
Uber does not operate on Rhodes (it's limited to a handful of mainland Greek cities); Beat, Greece's other major ride-hailing app, has wider coverage of the country but availability on Rhodes specifically can be patchy outside peak season — the taxi rank remains the most reliable option.
Well served given the island's tourism — Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, and numerous local operators all have desks at or near the terminal.
If you're staying along one of the resort strips (Ixia, Ialysos, Faliraki) rather than in Rhodes Town itself, a pre-booked transfer or the rental-car desk is usually more direct than the bus, which is built around the Rhodes Town route.
