Since 2024, an electric trolleybus (line 59) has replaced the old diesel shuttle, running from both terminals directly to the Nádraží Veleslavín metro station (Line A) in about 15 minutes — the fastest way into town until a direct rail link opens, which isn't planned before 2030.

Hotel Tranzit sits landside right at the airport for a genuine crash-and-go option; anything nicer means a 30-40 minute trolleybus/metro ride into the city center.

Czech Republic is Schengen — no border check on Schengen-to-Schengen connections, but Terminal 1 handles non-Schengen flights, so arriving there means clearing passport control before heading into town. The EU's ETIAS pre-authorization for visa-exempt travelers has been repeatedly delayed, so confirm current status rather than assuming you need one yet.
