Transport Options at MFM

Macau International Airport is connected to Nossa Senhora do Carmo and the wider Macau transport network by multiple ground transport options.

Rail & Metro

The Macau Light Rapid Transit (LRT) Taipa Line has a station connected to the airport terminal, running to stops across Taipa and, via extension, Macau Peninsula; useful mainly for reaching the Cotai Strip casino resorts quickly.

Bus & Shuttle

Several local bus routes (e.g. AP1, MT1/MT2, N6) connect the airport to Macau Peninsula, Taipa, and Cotai; fares are low (a few patacas) but journeys can be slow through casino-strip traffic.

Taxi

Metered taxis queue outside arrivals; a ride to the nearby Cotai resorts is short and cheap, while central Macau Peninsula runs somewhat more and can take 20–30 minutes depending on traffic and the bridge route.

Rideshare

Uber's presence in Macau is limited and inconsistent; most visitors rely on taxis, hotel shuttles, or the free casino-resort shuttle buses instead.

Car Rental

Limited demand given Macau's small size and dense traffic — most visitors don't rent a car; taxis, buses, and the free casino shuttles cover the territory easily.

Insider tip

Headed to one of the big Cotai resorts (Venetian, Galaxy, Wynn Palace, etc.)? Skip the taxi line — they run free shuttle buses directly from the airport that are faster and cost nothing.
