Getting Around

Brightline runs directly from a station adjacent to Terminal C, with frequent departures south to Fort Lauderdale, Aventura and Miami (roughly 3.5–4 hours end to end depending on stops). SunRail (the regional commuter line, for Orlando itself rather than Miami) doesn't reach the airport directly — a connecting SunRail-operated bus links MCO to the Sand Lake Road SunRail station a few miles away.

Lynx local bus routes (including Link 11 and others) serve MCO from the Ground Transportation Terminal, connecting to the wider Orlando bus network, but they're aimed at commuters more than visitors — most travelers going to the tourist corridor or Downtown Orlando use rideshare, taxi or a hotel/attraction shuttle instead.

Metered taxis queue at the Ground Transportation Terminal on Level 1 of both terminal complexes; a ride to International Drive runs roughly 20–25 minutes and Downtown Orlando about 25–30 minutes, with fares typically in the $35–55 range depending on destination and traffic.

Uber and Lyft pick up from clearly marked zones on Level 1 of the Ground Transportation Terminal at both Terminal A/B and Terminal C — well signed and high-volume, though wait times can stretch during peak arrival banks.

One of the largest rental operations in the US: all major national brands operate from the on-site Rental Car Center reached via a short shuttle/walkway from both terminal complexes — heavily used given Orlando's theme-park traffic, so book ahead during school holidays.
