Transport Options at LIM
Jorge Chávez International Airport is connected to Lima and the wider Peru transport network by multiple ground transport options.
There is no rail link between LIM and the city — road transport (taxi, rideshare or bus) is the only option.
Airport Express Lima runs hourly coaches to Miraflores from S/15, with WiFi and luggage space — travel time is similar to a taxi at 45-70 minutes given Lima's traffic.
Licensed taxis operate from staffed counters inside Arrivals; ask for 'todo incluido' pricing (parking and tolls included). Expect S/60-95 to Miraflores/San Isidro depending on time of day, with peak hours (6:30-9:30am, 5-8pm) adding significant time.
Uber, Cabify, DiDi and inDrive all operate from a designated pickup zone (Parking E1, near the Costa del Sol hotel) with an airport supplement added to the fare — typically S/40-70 off-peak to Miraflores, though surge pricing can match official taxi rates.
Major agencies have counters at the airport; not recommended for a Lima-only visit given traffic and one-way street complexity — useful mainly if continuing on to other parts of Peru.
Ignore anyone offering an 'outside' taxi curbside or flashing an unofficial badge — unlicensed pickups are a real scam risk at LIM. Book only at the staffed counters inside the terminal or via the rideshare apps' official pickup zone.
