Getting Around

Buses No. 39 and 39E run from the terminal to Moskovskaya metro station in about 30–35 minutes; bus No. 82E reaches Prospekt Veteranov metro station in roughly 25 minutes. Both operate from around 05:15 to past midnight, with fares of about 65–75 rubles paid on board. From either station it's another ~20 minutes by metro into the historic center.

An official rank sits outside arrivals; a ride into central St. Petersburg (30–40 minutes depending on traffic) typically runs 800–1,500 rubles. Avoid unmarked touts inside the terminal and use the rank or a booked app instead.

Yandex Go (which absorbed Uber's Russian operations) is the standard app locals use and is usually cheaper than the taxi rank, but foreign-issued bank cards have not worked in Russia since 2022 sanctions took hold — you'll need cash or a Russia-linked payment method for both the app and the rank.

International and Russian rental desks operate in the terminal, but sanctions have disrupted card payments, insurance, and which brands still function normally for foreign visitors — confirm availability and payment options before you fly rather than assuming a Western card will work.
