Düsseldorf Airport is connected to Düsseldorf and the wider Germany transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Deutsche Bahn's Düsseldorf Flughafen station (regional and long-distance trains) plus the S11 S-Bahn line running direct to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof; the automated SkyTrain shuttles between the train station and the terminals in about 7 minutes, operating roughly 3:45am-12:45am at 5-7 minute intervals (a bus fills the brief overnight gap).
Several city and regional bus lines depart from the arrivals hall / train station forecourt; FlixBus long-distance coaches also serve the airport (e.g. to Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin).
The airport publishes non-binding guideline fares (explicitly labeled as estimates, not fixed): roughly €32 to central Düsseldorf, €34 to Hauptbahnhof, up to about €83 for farther destinations like Essen. Actual metered EUR fares vary with traffic.
