King Fahd International Airport is connected to Ad Dammam and the wider Saudi Arabia transport network by multiple ground transport options.
SAPTCO runs scheduled bus service between the airport and the Khobar/Dammam area, but it's infrequent and not really set up for first-time or tourist-convenient travel — taxi or rideshare is still the practical default given how far King Fahd International sits from the Dammam-Khobar-Dhahran metro area (roughly 30–45 km depending on destination).
Official airport taxis are available outside arrivals, though fares can run fairly high given the distance into the city.
Both Careem and Uber operate widely across the Dammam-Khobar area and are commonly the easier, cheaper option versus a curbside taxi.
