Getting Around
How to get to and from Brunei International Airport — taxis, public transport, shuttles and car rental.
Transport Options at BWN
Brunei International Airport is connected to Bandar Seri Begawan and the wider Brunei transport network by multiple ground transport options.
A public bus runs for about BND 1 per ride with general service hours of roughly 6am to 8pm; the exact airport departure schedule isn't confirmed.
Published tariffs (as of this check) run BND 25 (6am–6pm) or BND 30 (6pm–midnight) to the Brunei Hotel area, and BND 20/25 to Centre Point; metered trips start at BND 3.50 flagfall plus a BND 3 airport surcharge, with a 50% surcharge from midnight to 6am. Confirm whether you're being quoted a fixed or metered fare before riding.
Uber and Grab are not confirmed to operate in Brunei; Dart, Brunei's own ride-hailing app launched around 2018, is the real local alternative.
First Car, Auto Rent, and Global Rent A Car are listed among suppliers at the airport via third-party booking sites, though this hasn't been independently verified against an official airport facilities page.
Download Dart rather than expecting Uber or Grab to work here — it's Brunei's own local ride-hailing app.
