Getting Around
How to get to and from M. R. Štefánik Airport — taxis, public transport, shuttles and car rental.
Transport Options at BTS
M. R. Štefánik Airport is connected to Bratislava and the wider Slovakia transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Bus No. 61 connects Bratislava Main Railway Station and the airport; buy tickets via the driver or a transport app.
The official partner is 'AIRPORT SERVICE' (rank at Arrivals); fares are posted on info panels at the airport rather than published online. Cash, Mastercard, Visa, and Amex are accepted.
Bolt is the airport's official taxi-service partner as of July 2026 — bookable via the app or a no-app kiosk in Arrivals, with dedicated pickup bays in Car Park P1.
On-site car rental counters are available (specific brands weren't individually confirmed).
The airport itself has publicly warned travelers about two impostor websites (bratislavaletisko.sk and bratislava-airport.sk) that copy its design and show outdated, inaccurate pricing — only bts.aero is genuine. Direct bus/shuttle connections to Vienna's city center are also available from here, since the two airports are often compared for the same trip.
