Transport Options at ALC
Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport is connected to Alicante and the wider Spain transport network by multiple ground transport options.
Local bus line C6 (Subús) runs from outside Arrivals to central Alicante (Rambla Méndez Núñez / Luceros) roughly every 20–40 minutes depending on time of day, journey around 20–30 minutes; ALSA also runs direct long-distance coaches from the airport to Benidorm, Murcia, Cartagena, and other Costa Blanca towns.
Official rank right outside Arrivals; a fare into central Alicante runs roughly €20–25 and takes about 15–20 minutes, more to Benidorm or other coastal resorts — confirm the metered fare before departing.
Uber and Cabify both operate around Alicante and can pick up at the airport, usually similarly priced to a taxi.
Extremely well served given Costa Blanca beach tourism — all major international chains plus Spanish/local operators have desks in the rental centre a short walk from the terminal; book ahead in summer as cars sell out.
The C6 bus is the cheapest way into Alicante but doesn't run super late — if you land on a night flight or need Benidorm or points further up the coast, a taxi or pre-booked transfer is the more reliable option.
