History
Camair-Co was created by Cameroonian presidential decree on 11 September 2006 to replace the defunct former flag carrier Cameroon Airlines, beginning commercial flights in 2011 with an inaugural Douala-Paris service.
Current Operations
Wholly state-owned, it operates a small fleet including wet-leased Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 and CRJ900 aircraft from its Douala hub on domestic and regional West/Central African routes; the carrier has never turned a profit and was placed under an IMF-monitored performance contract in 2023 amid heavy debt and grounded aircraft.
