History
Seaborne Airlines was founded in 1992 and built its business around seaplane and regional turboprop service connecting Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, becoming the largest regional airline in the Caribbean. Florida-based Silver Airways acquired Seaborne in April 2018.
Current Operations
Seaborne operates De Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter floatplanes on seaplane routes linking St. Croix and St. Thomas from its San Juan base, and has continued flying independently even after its former parent, Silver Airways, ceased all operations and was liquidated under Chapter 7 in mid-2025.
