Fly 6ix was founded in 2010 and launched passenger operations in January 2011 from Freetown, Sierra Leone, briefly being designated by President Ernest Koroma as Sierra Leone's national carrier. It connected Sierra Leone with Gambia, Guinea and Liberia using a single leased Embraer 135 regional jet.

Current Operations

Fly 6ix no longer operates; it ceased commercial service in late 2012 and the company was formally resolved to be wound up voluntarily on 3 December 2012.
